Who We Are
Sheila's Place, "Your Wing Connection," a newly opened family-style restuarant, will be offering a variety of home-style foods with a casual dining atmosphere at its location at 150 Rockdale Road, Hooverson Heights.
Among other items, 125 varieties of jumbo wings will be offerend for dine-in and carry-out.
"We start with fresh jumbo wings, never frozen and never precooked and Sheila (Rine) can adapt the the flavors to the customers' preferences." said Rich Hardesty, who co-owns the business with his wife, Kim, and their business partner, Sheila Rine.
The restaurant's other offerings will include jo-jos, fresh-cut fries and appetizers. Initial plans are to offer a dinner menu and expand to lunch and breakfast at a later date.
"It's a brand new business, but we've got experience in running a business ," said Rich Hardesty, who also owns Your Auto Connection car dealership in Wellsburg. "We want to bring our commitment to excellent service to this as well. We take care of our customers at our car lot and we expect to do the same here- customer satisfaction second to none."
Sheila Rine spent more than 12 years at Korner Kupboard, where she developed her expertise in preparing wings. Since the closure of the Korner Kupboard, the Hooverson Heights area hasn't had a restaurant specializing in a variety of jumbo wings, and the business partners know it was an area they had the business know-how and experience address.
" We actually been looking for a place for months, and when this one became available, we jumped on it." said Sheila Rine. "It's the perfect location."
The business wil be a joint venture between the two families, who first became familiar through their children, Cody Rine and Kelsey Hardesty, who are high school sweethearts.
"It's a family restaurant, run by our families," said Rich Hardesty.
The staff will include Rich Hardesty, his wife, Kim and their children Kristi and Kelsey Hardesty and Sheila Rine and her husband, Joe, and their children Cody, Amy and Wesley Rine.
"We're excited" said Sheila Rine. Everyone has been working hard to get everything ready."
Although there were only two weeks between the Hardestys and Rines looking the premises over and Super Bowl Sunday, the two families had the restaurant up and running for the game-and pre-orders for more then 1,000 wings. They actually sold more than 4,000 wings on Super Bowl Sunday.
The restaurant seats more than 40 and boasts big-screen televisions.
" Come down and watch the game on our big-screen TV's, have some wings and enjoy some friendly service," said Rich Hardesty.
Sheila's Place is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays through Sundays. The hours are subject to change. The restaurant is available for parties of 40 or less through prior arrangement.
